Roof-rack mounting into recessed grooves - has grip fitting inside groove and with adjustable grip feet on roof-rack

The inside of the recessed groove (17) on the edge of the roof has open profiled grip elements (8,9) mounted with open ends facing each other. The roof rack has special mounting feet which are splayed apart by a control, to grip inside the open profile fittings. The groove is normally covered by an elastic trim strip (15). The mounting feet of the roof rack have angled ends for improved grip and are splayed apart, against return spring force, by an eccentric cam.
