A method for drilling long holes in rock using a guide arrangement 5 - 8 comprising, on the one hand, an elongate guide element 6 which is intended to be lowered and guide the arrangement in axial displacement in a first previously drilled hole H1 and, on the other hand, a holder element 5 which is connected to the guide element and parallel with it and in which a drilling rod 2 is mounted so as to rotate, which drilling rod is provided with a drill crown 4 intended to drill a second hole H2 next to and parallel with the first hole, which has the same diameter as the second hole. The second hole H2 is drilled at a centre distance from the first hole H1 exceeding the hole diameter, which distance is chosen so that the wall between the holes is razed in conjunction with the drilling.
