PURPOSE: To perform conversion of a motion from a shift finger to a shift rail at a constant gear ratio over all turning angles by making an involute flanks included in a shift finger act on a flat contact surface of a shift rail to be operated. CONSTITUTION: A shift piece 13 can be axially moved on a shift axis 14 by a select lever 21 fixed to a select shaft 18. In order to operate shift clutch to be engaged with synchronous clutches 6 arranged on respective speed change stages, the shift element 13 collaborates with a plurality of shift rails 25 to 27 arranged by a shift finger 23 mounted on the shift piece, each one shift rail is moved, and the other shift rails are locked. The shift finger 23 has involute flanks 23a, and the involute flanks 23a act on the flat contact surface 24a of the shift rail 26 to be operated. In this case, since the movement to the shift rail is converted at a constant gear ratio in relation to all turning angles, the action is rational. |
