In an apparatus for the production of bobbins which serve as feed bobbins for twisting and which contain two threads wound in a folded position, provision is made for monitoring the threads for a thread break and, if a thread break occurs, for severing them at a common point before they run onto the bobbin and for connecting them to one another.
