PURPOSE:To omit the key operations of a keyboard at starting of an OS equal to that started precedingly by providing a key push OS load means, a preceding OS means, and an OS information store means. CONSTITUTION:A key push OS load means 11 decides whether a key is pushed or not on a keyboard 6 when a power supply is applied or a system is set. If so, the OS corresponding to the pushed key is loaded to a main storage 2 from an external memory 5. Then an OS information store means 13 stores the loaded OS information into a preceding OS rise information area 43 of a nonvolatile memory 4. If no key is pushed, a preceding OS load means 12 refers to the area 43 to load the OS started precedingly to the storage 2 from the memory 5. As a result, an OS equal to the preceding one can be started with no push of keys.
