PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize power required in stand-by operation mode by providing an execution mode power supply operable in response to a drive signal from a drive signal generator and a stand-by power supply and executing an intermediate transition mode for supplying power under a perfectly operable state at a short interval through a control circuit and the generator. SOLUTION: Power supplies 22, 24 for stand-by and execution modes are obtained from an AC power supply 32 through a rectifier 26. When input means 44, 46 are turned on, a microprocessor 52 actuates a switching means 70 to supply standby power to a one-chip circuit 64. The one-chip circuit 64 operates a V-RUN circuit to actuate an execution mode power supply 24. When the V-RUN is operated, power is supplied not in stand-by mode but in execution mode because the voltage level is sufficiently higher than a voltage V-STBY. Consequently, the cost can be reduced as compared with that required for increasing the capacity of stand-by power supply while reducing the scattering loss over the entire operation lifetime. |
