PURPOSE:To conduct color recording with various colors only by a change in the quantity of irradiated light, by developing colors by changing the quantity of energy beams incident on a photosensitive layer contg. a polyhalide and a diphenylmethane compound. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer contg. a polyhalide as an activator and a diphenylmethane compound as a coupler is formed on a substrate. The diphenylmethane compound is represented by formulaI[where R is H, lower alkyl, phenyl or benzyl which may have halogen or lower alkyl substituted for H; X is H, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or amino which may have lower alkyl substituted for H; Y is -H, -OR or a group represented by formula II (each of R1 and R2 is H, lower alkyl or phenyl which may have halogen or lower alkyl substituted for H); the groups represented by formula II includes a morpholine structure represented by formula III; and a bis-body structure obtd. by bonding Y with -CH2- and represented by formula IV is included]. Various colors can be developed by changing the quantity of energy beams incident on the phtosensitive layer. |
