The invention relates to a device for binding cables (14), the cables (14) being fitted into a cut-out (11) in a winding disc (10) which is arranged in a housing (1) such that it can rotate, is set in rotation and at the same time winds a binding means (52) around the cables (14). The new device is intended to enable the binding means to be wound continuously around cables (14), even over a long region and with the binding means (52) being supplied without any interruption, with a low level of design complexity. For this purpose, a supply device (15), which continuously supplies the binding means (52), is arranged on the winding disc (10). The running-on angle ( alpha ) which is formed between the running-in direction (61) of the binding means (52) and the longitudinal axis of the cables (14) can be varied by means of an adjusting device (64), as a result of which the binding means (52) can be applied without any folds even if the successive turns of the windings have greatly different overlap amounts. As a result of its light, compact construction, the device is particularly suitable for partially manual binding of cables. <IMAGE>
