PURPOSE:To save memory information at high speed not by copying memory contents onto a disk but copying them to a memory save area when a system is broken down. CONSTITUTION:A main storage device 300 consists of a memory access control means 310 and a memory 320, and the memory 320 with mass storage consists of an ordinarily used memory area 321 and a memory save area 322 in order to save the contents of the memory area 321. When the system is broken down due to a fault, a save controller 400, which has supervises a central processing unit 200, accesses the memory 320, and saves the contents of the ordinary memory area 321 to the memory save area 322. Thus, a time and labor spent for the memory save after the system-down can be shortened. |
