The invention relates to a nuclear reactor installation accommodated in a prestressed concrete pressure container, having a gas-cooled high temperature reactor, a plurality of steam generators with gas circulators connected downstream and having auxiliary heat exchangers for after-heat removal. For the latter, which are in the standby mode during normal operation, a bypass hot gas current is needed continuously. In order to save special apparatus such as pumps, blowers or the like, devices provided on the pressure side of the gas circulators for measuring the cooling gas throughput are used for the provision of this bypass flow. The devices, having annular channels similar to venturi tubes, are respectively divided into a plurality of independent measuring chambers, and one of these measuring chambers (in which low pressure prevails) is connected in each case via a suction conduit to one of the auxiliary heat exchangers. For a simplified construction of the gas circulators, the connection of each suction conduit to the relevant measuring chamber is produced by means of a remotely-controlled detachable coupling piece.
