A plug sleeve (1a) which can be fitted to the supply cable (25a) for an electrical hotplate has two stops (50a, 51a) which are directed towards one another and are opposite one another, one of which secures the plug sleeve (1a) against being pulled out of an insulating body (3a) while the other secures it against being pushed into said insulating body (3a), the withdrawal stop (51a) being constructed as a stop which snaps-in automatically such that it bends automatically when the insulating body (3a) is fitted on and latches into its stop location on reaching the stop position which is governed by the pushing-in stop (50a). In consequence, a considerably simpler electrical connection to electrical hotplates or the like is achieved, especially when the respective connection has a plurality of poles. <IMAGE>
