FILTER, FILTER UNIT USING THE FILTER, AND PRECISION FILTRATION METHOD

PURPOSE:To form the title filter having chemical stability and corrosion resistance, having a fine mesh, and appropriate for precision filtration by cutting a stainless steel wire into a fiber having a minute cross section, and binding the fibers in aggregate to form the filter. CONSTITUTION:A stainless steel wire is cut to obtain a stainless steel fiber S having a minute cross section with the maximum diameter D of about 0.06mm. The fibers S are bound in aggregate to form a filter. As a result, the filter has chemical stability and corrosion resistance and is capable of filtering any gas or liq. to be filtered irrespective of its kind. In addition, since the mesh is fine, the filter is appropriately used in precision filtration. The filter has a low passage resistance and is hardly clogged. Furthermore, the filter is easily and surely cleaned and regenerated.
