New self-adhesive tape comprising 3 superposed components, namely: 1) a silicone-coated paper. 2) A layer of self-adhesive material 2. 3) A third component consisting, for example, of kraft, reinforced or otherwise, 3. The advantage of this tape is to have 2 nonadhesive outer components and consequently to be capable of being sold in a highly economical short length. The invention also relates to the process for the manufacture of this product. It consists in winding onto each other a double-faced tape 4 and a tape made of kraft, reinforced or otherwise, 5, on a capstan 8 which has a large diameter and to obtain very economically strips of tape of limited length, by radial cutting 10 of the ring thus obtained. <IMAGE>
