PURPOSE:To obtain the printer characterized by high speed, high resolution, and inexpensive running costs, in so called a line printer, by employing an electronic photograph recording system wherein an endless belt shaped recording body is used, and providing an almost linear recording paper path. CONSTITUTION:At the central part of the printer 1, the endless belt shaped recording body 11 is hooked around a pair of belt rollers 12 and 13. The recording body 11 is an electronic photographing light sensitive body wherein an inorganic or organic light conductive body is provided on a base film. The surface of the recording body 11 is uniformly charged into a specified polarity by an electric charger 14. Then light including the data of picture to be recorded is irradiated from an exposing device 15, and an electrostatic latent image is formed on the recording body 11. Thereafter it is developed by the toner in a developing device 16 and transferred to recording paper 24 by a transfer charger 19. The tansferred to recording paper 24 by a transfer charger 19. The transferred toner image on recording paper 24 is fixed in a fixing device 20. The recording paper 24 is discharged to a recording paper receiver 10 by a paper discharging roller 25.
