<p>PURPOSE: To enable detection of short-circuiting and breaking of wire by determining a voltage phase difference between two lines in a three-phase AC generator and comparing the phase difference with a predetermined value or a value within a predetermined range to determine a failure. CONSTITUTION: The regular operation of a failure detecting circuit 100, connected to a three-phase AC generator is performed in such a manner, that a voltage of crossing a capacitor 134 is compared with two reference voltages applied to the positive input 141 of a comparator 142 and the negative input 143 of a comparator 144, and the reference voltages form effective upper limit and lower limit values for the voltage of the capacitor 134. When a voltage across the capacitor 134 is not less than the upper limit value, an output indicating a failure state is supplied from the comparator 142, and when it is not more than the lower limit value, an output indicating a failure state is supplied from the comparator 144.</p> |
