The converter having a function for adjusting the impedance matching between wave guide and micro-strip line includes a rectangular wave guide (10) with width and height of a and b1, an exponential taper ridge (30) with exponentially growing height, a tuning screw (40) adjusting equivalent capacitance caused by a gap (b2) between ceiling of the wave guide (10b) and the top of the ridge (30), a probe (50) enclosed by dielectric material and attached to the exponential taper ridge (30) through a hole in one end of the wave guide.
