PURPOSE:To enable the realization of a voltage converter for measuring electric energy requiring no phase shifter by imbedding a magnetoresistance element into an inner wall of a core. CONSTITUTION:A transformer 2 is mounted each as opposed to one inner wall surface within a through hole 15 of a core 14, an opposed circumferential surface thereof and each end face of the core 14. A magnetoresistance element 23 imbedded into the inner wall surface of the core 14 as opposed to the circumferential surface of the transformer 2 within the hole 15. Then, when a load voltage is applied to a primary winding 19 of the transformer 2, a voltage signal ev the same in phase as the load voltage is outputted from a secondary winding 21 to a multiplier 5 and an angle frequency detector 6 and a power signal ep corresponding to a power is calculated. With the applied voltage of the winding 19, a magnetic flux is generated in the core 14 as delayed by pi/2 and an electrical signal ev' delayed by pi/2 is outputted from the element 23 in proportion to the load voltage to calculate a power eq corresponding to a reactive power through multipliers 7 and 9. Thus, the voltages eq and ep are provided to a display section 12 separately to be converted into frequencies according to the voltage signals thereof and displayed on a meter as reactive and effective electric energy respectively. |
