PURPOSE:To fire an inorganic adsorbent efficiently and in a short time without qualitative irregularity and pulverization by supplying a large amount of firing air which is blown into a firing device, to a heated air blow-in pipe arranged below a heated air chamber after dehumidification and heating. CONSTITUTION:A firing device, of a cylindrical shape with an axial line inclined to a level, which rotates around the axial line, is allowed to rotate around the axial line by devices 2, 3. In addition, a material to be fired is supplied to the higher end of the main unit 1 of the firing device by devices 5, 6, and the fired product is delivered from the lower end of the main unit by devices 8, 9. Furthermore, heated air blow-in pipes 12 with blow-in holes on each side of the pipe are inserted into the main unit 1 almost in parallel with the axial line. In a temperature swing-type air dryer 22, firing air is dehumidified by exhausted baking gas. The firing air after dehumidification is heated by an air heating device 28. In a heated air chamber 14, the firing air after heating is supplied at a higher distribution rate for the lower one of pipes than the higher one. |
