PURPOSE:To improve absorptivity of irradiated laser beams by contracting the beam diameter of laser beams to irradiate a work therewith at Brewster's angle and receiving reflected ray thereof at a mirror to reflect it on the work and again irradiating the work with the reflected ray. CONSTITUTION:The beam diameter of linearly deflected laser beams is contracted by a collimator constituted of both a concave mirror 2 and a convex mirror 3 and laser beams are made incident on a reflecting mirror 4 as parallel rays. Reflected laser beams are made incident on the heat-treating part of a work 10 nearly at Brewster's angle. Reflected ray thereof is reflected by a plane mirror 5 and made incident on the heat-treating part of the work 10. This reflected ray is reflected by the reflecting mirror 4 and made incident on a plane mirror 6 provided to the upper part thereof and thereafter reflected laser beams are again made incident on the work 10. Thereby the nearly whole energy emitted from an oscillator is absorbed by the work 10. Therefore absorptivity of irradiated laser beams can be enhanced without applying coating for absorbing laser beams on the work 10. |
