It consists of the separate formation on continuous belts of two sub-assemblies, the first one incorporating the casing, resistive element and terminals, and the second incorporating the slide (cursor) holder, slide and collector which are associated in a subsequent stage, starting, for producing the first sub-assembly, with a continuous laminar strip with holes in its sides where, by means of stamping, two rows of parallel terminals are defined which are joined by transverse longitudinally offset bands, which strip is subdivided subsequently into two halves which abut against each other with contiguous terminals belonging to different half-strips, the terminals being connected to the resistive element by a particular clamping of said elements on the base of the casing body performed by folding tabs which finish off the aforesaid terminals. <IMAGE>
