摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a laser beam machine improved at the same level in positional accuracy as an NC laser beam machine while keeping low cost and convenience by providing a laser beam guide path on the upper part of a horizontal arm of a horizontal joint type robot and giving a structure capable of free extension and contraction on a straight line with the reflection of the horizontal arm. CONSTITUTION:In the horizontal joint type robot, the main axis 1 of the robot stands on a base 15, this axis 1 is a theta-axis of rotation and can slide in the Z-direction. The central axis 4 of a 2nd joint is combined with the tip of the central axis 2 of a 1st joint and the normal 3 on the intersection of both axes of joint 2, 4 is a U-axis of rotation. A wrist axis 5 is provided at the tip of the 2nd axis 4 of joint in which a rotation such as alpha or beta is made or not made. Such structure makes up a simple and inexpensive machine by combination of a robot and a laser beam and, besides, enables the high speed performance and the positional accuracy which have been given by a large, expensive, NC- controlled gate type beam machine only.
