PURPOSE:To obtain a picture which have appropriate density and excellent gradation properties with a low cost, by setting the resistance value at <=10<12>OMEGA/ cwl in the direction of thickness of a surface layer of a developer holding means which supports a raised fiber layer. CONSTITUTION:A metallic roller made of aluminum is used to a center layer 4b, and a woven fabric is wound arond the metallic roller as a surface layer 4a. This woven fabric supports the raised fibers 5. Thus a developing roller 4 is formed. Here the resistance value of the thickness direction is set at <=10<12>OMEGA/ cwl for the surface layer 4a of the roller 4 which supports the raised fiber layer 5. Thus the layer 4a is used as a development electrode to a photoreceptor 1. This enables to obtain the pictures which have no edge effect and excellent gradation properties. |
