PURPOSE:To obtain an adhesive composition having excellent adhesivity to the hard tissue of human body, especially to the dentine and effective also for the bonding of metals, ceramics and organic polymers by compounding a specific vinyl monomer component with a polymerization initiator and an ascorbic acid (derivative) at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl monomer component containing an acid group- containing vinyl monomer expressed by formula I and II (R1 and R2 are H or methyl; n is 4-12; X is group of formula III; m is 2-4) with (B) 0.01-10 pts.wt. of a polymerization initiator such as dibenzoyl peroxide or N,N-dimethyl-p- toluidine and (C) 0.01-10 pts.wt. of ascorbic acid and/or its derivative. |
