PURPOSE:To improve an adhesive property and heat resistance by providing a thin film consisting of at least beta type SiO2 on the surface of a plastic lens stock. CONSTITUTION:The thin film consisting of at least the beta type SiO2 is provided on the surface of the plastic lens stock. An acrylic resin, polycarbonate resin, styrene resin, etc., are usable as the plastic lens stock. The thin film is formed on the surface of such plastic lens stock. The thin film of only the beta type SiO2 may be provided as the thin film on the surface of the plastic lens or the thin film may be made into multiple layers by providing the thin film consisting of the beta type SiO2 on the surface of the plastic lens stock and further, providing the thin films consisting of the oxide, halide, etc., of metals on this thin film. The good adhesive state is obtd. in this way and the heat resistance is improved as well. |
