PURPOSE:To achieve a higher accuracy without being affected by a non-specific substance by a method wherein the surface of a conducting substance is used as previously subjected to an oxidation treatment and a biofunctional substance solidifying electrode done as working electrode while a reference electrode and a counter electrode are arranged together in a fluid to be measured. CONSTITUTION:A measuring liquid 1 containing a trace substance to be measured is injected at an inlet 2 and passes through a passage 5 with a microelectrode 3 to analyze the measuring liquid 1 passing through a passage with a reference electrode 6 and a counter electrode 7. The microelectrode 3 integrates a biofunctional substance and a platinum black on a fine platinum line. This produces a device in a very fine size and makes a flow cell very fine with a resulting micron order size thereof. With an oxidation treatment of the electrode 3, the oxidized state of a surface can be made stable. An oxidation potential to be applied for an oxidation treatment is made higher than a potential applied for detection of a substance to be measured, thereby permitting the production of a biodetector having a fast response and a high sensitivity. |
