<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the size and the weight of a communication cable protective cover by splitting the protective cover into a protective cover body and joint bodies at the opposite ends thereof and employing special shaped therefor so that the inner diameter of the joint body way be as large as possible. CONSTITUTION:A cover body 1 is constructed by splitting a cylindrical body and providing projection chips 2, facing each other, at the outside of the split edge, where communication holes 3 are made at the opposite ends in the longitudinal direction. A joint body 4 is constructed by providing hooked male engaging section 7 at one end of a splitted short drum 6 and extending a coupling chip 8 to be inserted into one end of the cover body 1 semi-cylindrically to the other end of the short drum section 6 then providing a coupling pin 9 on the outside face of the coupling chip 8. In the joint body 5, enlarged cylindrical drum section 10 is splitted and a projecting chip 11 is contacted with the outside of the splitted edge then the cylindrical drum 10 is tightened with a pin 13. Furthermore, female engaging section 14 to be engaged with the male engaging section 7 is formed at the inside of the enlarged end section.</p> |
