In the case of a multi-piece annular program support for an electrical time switch, having a drive for touch-sensing its circumference in order to change the operating mode (for example ON) of a switch into another mode (for example OFF) and having switching elements which are guided in a captive manner, parallel to the axis and/or such that they can be displaced radially, between latching means and stops, according to the invention, the switching elements a) are combined from a flat-edge piece (in the form of a rod) and a cantilever arm (which is possibly shorter and is integrally formed parallel thereto) to form a U-shaped part, b) are combined (grouped and arranged to match the number of timing stages) to form a ring in one of the two integral ring bodies in two different variants, specifically on the one hand guided in the axial direction and on the other hand being displaceable radially, and c) are mounted exclusively by the connection of the profile support to an adaptor being held and secured against falling out by fastening elements having snap-action tabs. In a further refinement, the switching elements are constructed alternately symmetrically and two such symmetrical pieces are in each case accommodated in a groove.
