A package for e.g. a liquid, to be dissolved or dispersed in water, comprises an envelope of water soluble or dispersible material, the envelope having a flexible wall and a water soluble or water dispersible heat seal. The package may contain a pesticide, e.g. fungicide, insecticide or herbicide. The envelope may be made from polyethylene oxide, methyl cellulose or polyvinyl alcohol.
