PURPOSE:To always maintain the optimum development conditions of a photosensitive material by incorporating a substance capable of compensating defects generated in a processing solution due to a compd. eluted from the emulsion layer into the processing solution and/or a compd. consumed in the processing solution, in a hydrophilic colloid layer opposite to an emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The substance capable of reducing the effect of the compd. eluted from the emulsion layer into the processing solution, on the processing solution, and/or the substance consumed in the processing solution by developing the photosensitive materials 24, 26 are incorporated in the hydrophilic colloid layer opposite to the emulsion layer. And, the replenishing amount of a developer is determined according to the information of optical density of a manuscript or a master drawing. Thus, the optical density condition of a necessary component contd. in the processing solution is uniformly maintained, thereby being carried out the uniform processing of the photosensitive material. |
