PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity, the graininess, the color reproducibility and the shelf life of the title material by being existed at least one of the max. value in the inner part of a particle at the latent image distribution of an emulsion particle, and specifying the position of existing the max. value to a specified depth from the surface of a particle, and incorporating a specified magenta coupler in a green sensitive emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The latent image distribution of a silver halide emulsion particle contd. in at least one layer of emulsion layers has at least one of the max. value in the inner part of the particle, and the position of existing the max. value lies in the depth from the surface of the particle of <0.01mum, and the magenta coupler shown by formula I is incorporated in the green sensitive emulsion layer. In formula I, R<1> is hydrogen atom or a substituting group, X is hydrogen atom or a group capable of being released with a coupling reaction with the oxidant of an aromatic primary amine, Za, Zb and Zc are each methine, a substd. methine, =N- or -NH- group. Thus, the sensitivity, the graininess, the color reproducibility and the shelf life of a latent image of the photosensitive material are improved. |
