The circuit for letter correction includes a memory (1) for recording Hangul data with two bytes, a positon indicator (2) for indicating the data position in the memory according to the carriage position, a searching unit (3) for dividing two byte Hangul into initial, middle, and final phonemes, a registor (4) for storing the divided Hangul data, a classifier (5) for classifying the Hangul according to the forms of the letter, and an adjuster (6) for correcting the Hangul letter in middle-finalinitial phoneme order. The carraige is reverse shifted and correcponding phonemes are drawn out in the order for correcting the mistyped letter when correction key is pressed.
