A silyl pyrrolidine of formula (I) is prepd. by reacting a halosilane deriv. of formula (II) with pyrrolidine at 100-150 ≦̸C and 2-3 atm. for 5hr. In the formulas, R is methyl, ethyl, nbutyl or iso butyl, X is Cl or Br ; N is 1 or 2. (I) is useful as a starting material for prepg. silicon resin.
