PURPOSE:To enhance durability of a resin coat layer for covering the surface of a core made of a magnetic material and to ensure rapid rising of charge and stable chargeability by incorporating whiskers in the coat layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic charge image developing carrier is composed of the core made of the magnetic material and the resin coat layer for covering the surface of the core and containing the whiskers selectable from various kinds of ones, especially preferably, noninsulating whiskers, and having a fiber length of, preferably, 1-10mum, thus permitting the obtained resin coat layer to be improved in brittleness, to enhance durability of the carrier, to stabilize chargeability and to prevent staining in a developing device due to dropout of the resin, and agglomeration of the developer. |
