The materials hitherto used for lining the reaction space of high-pressure chambers, in particular the belt types, do not allow the deformability of the internal parts, the pressure transmission properties and the flow behaviour and also the support and sealing action to be optimised. In place of the materials hitherto known for lining high-pressure chambers, a material is provided which simultaneously and optimally fulfils sealing, support and force transmission functions and also reliably ensures insulation against electric current. The object is achieved by mineral compositions comprising the mineral paragonite or mixtures of paragonite with one or more materials such as, for example, talc and/or muscovite, with the mass ratio of paragonite and additives preferably being from 5:1 to 2:1. It is preferably used for the synthesis of super-hard materials, in particular for the production of synthetic diamond. |
