In order to permit the tubes of medical, in particular dental, instruments to be subjected to a thermal disinfecting treatment without exposing the leads and channels extending inside the tube to liquid disinfectant it is proposed that the two connection fittings of the tube be allocated a sealing body (4) on to which the connection fittings (1, 3) can be attached and secured against unintentional slipping-off. In the attached state, the sealing body seals the exterior of the tube against the interior of the tube.
