<p>In the assembly of a drive element, such as the hub (11) of a motor vehicle steering wheel, with a driven element, such as a steering column (10), a device for the angular adjustment of the relative position of the two elements consists of an angular adjusting ring (20) linked with an angular screw (25) for controlling the axial movement of said ring, along coupling grooves between the ring and column. Said adjusting ring (25) has a straight-cross section external surface with a generally polygonal form, with helicoidal surfaces which cooperate with an internal surface of the hub of complementary shape, radial projections (28) offering in addition support edges of essentially radial orientation. The angular adjustment device thus formed can be advantageously combined with a complementary device for axial adjustment of the radial position of the assembled elements.</p> |
