An electrically driven pump comprises a pump body 2 containing pump rotor 27, a stator (1) assembly, and an intermediate support body (3) which connects the stator and pump body, a cylindrical housing (4) defining the housing for the rotor (20), the stator (1) being externally assembled about the cylindrical housing. The stator (1) is arranged to be coupled with the support body (3) to allow any position of the said stator (1) with regard to the pump body (2) by interposing an elastic ring (14) provided with side strips (16) which engage the stator (1) and a pair of spindles (13) which may be selectively engaged in opposing recesses (12) of a circular ring (11) forming part of the support body (3). The assembled unit is mounted on its associated apparatus by elements (Fig 17) which may engage the body 3 at various positions and which are arranged to retain nuts 38 for connecting to the said apparatus. Furthermore, the coupling shaft (22) between the rotor (20) and the pump rotor (27) is provided with a cam-shaped part (24) integral therewith having two side flat surfaces (26) which may engage respective flat sectors (30) provided on the rotor (20) (or in the pump rotor (20) Fig 9) in order to allow 'load free' motor starting.
