Device for driving, blocking, and electrically controlling an interchangeable barrel of a lock. The invention relates to a lock barrel whose rotor 6-6a is actuated by a miniature electric motor 15, stepped down by a reduction gear 14 and whose control is coupled to an electromagnetic pin 8 which blocks the rotor in the closed position. Operation using a key 6c is possible. The drive device is contained in a small housing 22 which is coupled to the rotor 6 by means of a square shaft of a length which is variable so as to fit all thicknesses of doors 1. Likewise, the fixing of the housing 22 onto a base plate 23 provided with a slideway 24 allows various types of locks to be fixed. Control may take place from inside via one or more keys 28 arranged on a handle 27, or generally by the known electrical means, or even by a wrist watch which carries in its dial encoded electronic chips which are applied onto a receiving matrix. <IMAGE>
