PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion and deformation of a recording medium and a magnetic pole, by forming a thin film made of a polycrystalline sinter consisting esentially of alumina and titanium carbide on the side of an auxiliary magnetic pole in contact with a tape face. CONSTITUTION:Main and auxiliary magnetic poles 2, 3 are installed so as to interposing a medium tape obtd. by forming magnetic layers 6 on a base 7, sound recording coils 4, 5 are wound on the pole 3, and a thin film 9 of titanium carbide and alumina sinter is formed on the surface of the pole 3 in contact with the magnetic layer 6 to reduce abrasion. On the other hand, the main pole 2 holds a magnetic film of high magnetic permeability with support base plates 2, and this plate 2 is preferably made of the titanium carbide alumina sinter. |
