The present invention relates to an operating lever (10) for single-handed lever-operated mixers, with an annular body (12) which fits over the body of the fitting and with an elongate lever arm (11) formed integrally on the side of the annular body for the purpose of manual operation. A plug-in extension (14) is formed on the underneath of a top plate (13) of the annular body, this plug-in extension having resilient snap-action tongues (17) which, at the bottom, adjoin a hole of rectangular cross-section. By means of the snap-action tongues, a positive snap connection can be made with the square pin by means of which the opening and closing functions of the mixer valve are performed. The operating lever according to the invention is preferably made of plastic and allows a reliable, simple and re-releasable connection between the operating lever and the square pin of the mixer valve. <IMAGE>
