PURPOSE:To reduce the pressure fog of the title material, and to improve the pressure characteristic of the photosensitive material by incorporating a silver halide particle composed of a tabular particle in the photosensitive material, and by mounting a protective layer on the photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:At least 50% of the total projecting area of the silver halide particle contd. in at least one layer of the emulsion layer is occupied by the tabular particle which has the thickness of <0.5mum, the diameter of >=0.3mum and the aspect ratio of >=3, and the thickness of the protective layer >=3.0mum. The aspect ratio of the tabular particle is sufficient to be 3-8 or >=8 according to a practical demand. And, the compounding ratio of the tabular silver halide particle to the emulsion contg. said particle therein is preferably >=70%, especially, most preferably >=90% based on the total projecting area. Thus, the pressure fog of the photosensitive material is reduced, and the pressure characteristic of the material is improved. |
