NEW MATERIAL:A 17-membered ring lactone compound T-2636K, having following properties. Shape: colorless crystal. Melting point; 180 deg.C+ or -10 deg.C. Specific rotation; [alpha] -48+ or -10 deg. (C=0.5, ethanol). Thin layer chromatography; benzene : acetone : acetic acid (50:50:2), Rf=0.42. Color reaction; blue violet with conc. sulfuric acid. Solubility; readily soluble in acetone and alcohols, a little sparingly soluble in chloroform and ethyl acetate and insoluble in water. USE:A preventive and remedy for pig's dysentery or a growth promoter for the pig. PREPARATION:For example, Streptomyces.rochei.var. volubilis (FERM 6155) is cultured at 37 deg.C for 30-72hr, and the resultant culture filtrate is extracted and separated to afford the aimed T-2636K. |
