PURPOSE:To form a control cable packed with a lubricant capable of enduring high temps. for a prolonged period of time by combining a particular base oil with a particular thickening agent and a particular solid lubricant. CONSTITUTION:A control cable is provided, which is formed by effecting packing or coating of a lubricant [L] having the following compsn. between an inside cable and a conductor or a liner. [L]: compsn. comprising 100 pts.wt. dialkylpolysiloxane oil as a base oil, 3-30 pts.wt. diurea compd. (thickening agent) and 5-30 pts.wt. lithium stearate and/or barium stearate as a solid lubricant. It is pref. that 0-10 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. siloxane oil, at least one member selected from boron nitride and carbon fluoride be further added to the above-mentioned lubricant, since initial load efficiency can be improved. Pref. diurea compds. include a compd. of the formula I (wherein R1 is a divalent arom. hydrocarbon residue, and R2 and R3 may be identical or different and each thereof is an alkyl group or a phenyl group). |
