The invention makes possible the dynamic confinement of the radioactive contamination of the closure head of a nuclear reactor vessel during unit outages, when it is separated from the reactor body. It consists in employing the clamping bolt holes 6 of the closure head opening onto the inner face 4 of the closure head seat 2 to draw in the contaminants as close as possible to the joint bearing, over the whole periphery of the closure head. Nozzles 8 descending into each bolt hole 6 are employed, and a manifold 10 for the said nozzles 8, placed above the closure head seat 2 and connected to at least one source of partial vacuum 12, so as to ensure a sufficient suction at the joint bearing. <IMAGE>
