PURPOSE:To ensure the continuation of transactions of users with no deteriora tion in user service property even in case a jam occurs during the absence of clerks by producing a tentative card in case a card jam occurs with an automatic teller machine for cash cards. CONSTITUTION:A cash card inserted through a card slit 6 is sent to a magnetic head part where account information like account number, identification number, etc., are read. Then the card is further sent up to a card emboss recording part and then sent back to the slit 6. Plural sensors are set on a card carrying path and a card jam is decided in case the card is not detected by the next sensor even after a prescribed time. Then the occurrence of this card jam is informed to a user and the user is required for input of his/her identification number. When the coincidence of the identification number is obtained, a tentative card is sent to a bankbook path and an available tentative card is obtained after the recording of the account information. Thus the tentative card is transmitted through a bankbook slit 7. |
