<p>Plant for the production of charcoal, of the type comprising ovens (1) characterised in that it comprises two series of ovens (1) arranged in two parallel lines, a cracking unit (15) inserted between the two lines and comprising an upper manifold (17) connected by conduits (52) to the ovens (1) and opening into an enclosure (16) of the said cracking unit and which is divided into a number of combustion sections (25,26 and 27) connected to a conduit (39) opening into a discharge conduit (40), on the conduit (39) there being provided a branch (41) connected to a second manifold (43) connected by conduits (4) to the lower part of the ovens (1), means (5) being provided for selectively connecting each oven (1) to the conduits (52) or to a pipe (57) of the means (70-73) for selectively opening and closing the conduits (4) of the means (37) to create a circulation in the enclosure (16) and means (21) for allowing oxidising air to enter the enclosure (16). <IMAGE></p> |
