PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition exhibiting excellently controlling effects even on Tyrophagus putrescentiae, having raised safety, by blending a pyrethroid-based, organic phosphorous or carpamate-based insecticide with hinokitiol in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:1 pt.wt. pyrethroid-based, organic phosphorous or carbamate- based insecticide is blended with 3-25 pts.wt. (preferably 10-20 pts.wt.) hinokitiol to give an acarid controlling composition. By this composition, Tyrophagus putrescentiae which has been difficult to exterminate can be controlled and an amount of each insecticide component can be reduced. Consequently, the composition has raised safety and can be used even for TATAMI (straw matting) in room, carpets, food storage chambers, etc. The composition is properly used properly a synergist, carrier, etc., and made into aerosol, dust, sheet agent, lotion, fumigating agent, oil agent, emulsion, wettable powder, etc. |
