PURPOSE:To suppress the positional deviation of an optical waveguide in the direction perpendicular to its optical axis by constituting a waveguide fixing section of holder fixing members provided with a 1st joining surfaces which are perpendicular to the optical axis of an optical system and a waveguide holder provided with a 2nd joining surface fixed to the 1st joining surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A waveguide fixing section is constituted of holder fixing members 15 and 16 provided with the 1st joining surfaces 15a and 16a which are almost perpendicular to the optical axis and notched sections 15b and 16b between the lower sections of the surfaces 15a and 16a and a mount 14 and a waveguide holder 17 which is provided with the 2nd joining surface 17a fixed to the 1st joining surfaces 15a and 16a and fixes an optical waveguide on the optical axis. Therefore, when the 1st joining surfaces 15a and 16a are firmly joined with the 2nd joining surface 17a by means of a fusing metal, such as solder, etc., the fixing members 15 and 16 and holder 17 optically couple the optical waveguide and, at the same time, cause the contraction produced when the fusing metal solidifies to be exerted in the direction of the optical axis of the optical system. Therefore, the positional deviation of the optical waveguide in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis can be prevented and the variation of the optically coupling quantity can be suppressed to the utmost. |
