In parent patent, a qymnasium mat has a surroundinq strip of fleece and consists of two mats which are bonded together by an adhesive strip. In this addn., the mat consists of a (pref.) foam core with coverings and a fleecy strip round the top edges; at least one of both the top longitudinal and top transverse edges has an adhesive strip which cannot be removed.
