摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the yield from production by using positive electrode active substance in specific particle sizes, and preventing penetration of a separator by positive electrode active substance because of rub of component elements when power generating elements are wound. CONSTITUTION:A separator 3 consisting of porous film is interposed between a band-shaped positive electrode 1 and a band-shaped negative electrode 2, and they are wound together into spiral to constitute a power generating element 4. The max. particle size of the positive electrode active substance shall be below two thirds of the thickness of porous film, and the mean particle size be below one half of the thickness of the film and be 3mum. This prevent effectively the penetration of the separator by positive electrode active substance generated by rub of the component elements when the power generating element 4 is wound. Thus poorly performed products due to drop of the battery voltage likely to occur with this type of separator penetration will be eliminated, and the yield from battery production be enhanced.
